Why Women Get “Cellulite”

First and foremost, it needs to be clear that “cellulite” is not a thing. It’s actually just a word, made-up several decades ago in a European beauty spa, to describe the mushy and saggy dimples & flabby shadows showing on a woman’s lower body.

So from here forward, when we use the word “cellulite”, we are referring to the shadowy flab and mushy dimples which are visible on the skin’s surface.

For most women, this unattractive condition of the lower-body is caused by flat, un-toned muscles under the skin of the trouble zones. When the muscles are in this condition (physiological term is ‘atrophied’) the 3 skin layers sitting on top of them have no firm support under it, so the skin sags and deforms with a mushy dimpled appearance.

The 3 skin layers sitting on top of the muscle layers are:
– the hypodermis (deepest)
– the dermis
– the epidermis (surface layer)

To make matters worse, there is also the dreaded hormonal factor.

Many women report “getting the ugly dimples and saggy shadows” after starting a new medication for some condition (for example; bc pills, prednisone, etc..).

One side-effect can be an adverse hormonal impact that ultimately results in more muscle atrophy and a loss of firmness of the 3 skin layers.

That double whammy can sometimes make it seem like “…this horrible problem came out of nowhere!”, because it can happen very quickly to certain women.

But there is hope, once you realize why current “cellulite” solutions don’t work. They don’t work because they can’t address the issue at the root cause of it.

All the creams, gels, pills, injections, infrared massage devices, skin brushes and yes, even “lipo”, CANNOT improve your muscle condition or skin-layer integrity.
